Known as “the City in the Country,” Coral Springs officially chartered July 10, 1963, is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States, approximately 20 miles northwest of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. With its 125,000 residents has become a premier South Florida community, known for its abundant parks, quality schools, numerous athletic programs, and attractive neighborhoods.

Coral Springs was the first state or local government to receive the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for performance excellence and innovation, a presidential honor.

Coral Springs is also among an elite group of only 34 cities nationwide to have bonds rated “AAA” by all three rating agencies on Wall Street. AAA is the highest credit rating afforded to municipalities for superior financial performance management. All three rating agencies praised the City’s solid overall financial position, effective long-range planning and prudent management policies.

The City of Coral Springs recently con­ducted its biennial survey of residents’ satisfaction with the quality of services provided by the City. The results indicate that Coral Springs is setting the standard for the delivery of City services, ranking at or above the U.S. and Florida averages in all 47 areas assessed. The overall satisfaction rating for services provided by the City increased to 95% in 2011, up from 92% in 2009.
